Death of Dr. L.L. Bowman
News of the death of Dr. L.L. Bowman, formerly of Bogue Chitto, has reached Brookhaven. Lately Dr. Bowman resided at Beaumont, TX, where he was a prosperous and useful physician. His death was due to an operation. He leaves a wife and three children beside his mother, sister and brothers. The interment was made at Mt. Pleasant Church, this county. A great many friends will mourn the death of Dr. Bowman to whom the Grim Reaper came in the prime of a prosperous, useful and happy life.

"Dr. L.L. Bowman hit on the head with a stick September 23d, 1916 by Bob Brent without any just cause whatever on his part. He was a notorious coward. Dr. L.L. Bowman taken his family to New Orleans October 17th, 1916 to have his wife treated at a hospital. Returned back home Oct 20th, 1916. He taken his wife to Jackson, Miss November 13, 1916 to the Sanatarium. She was operated on by Dr. Chrisler for appendicitus and gaul stones Nov 15, 1916. She stayed in Jackson at the Sanatarium untill the 29th day of November. Come home. W.L. Bowman"
