Robert Dinning, 60 years old, life long resident of Burr Oak Bottom dropped dead at 11:30 o'clock; Friday night, while assisting neighbors to get out of danger of the Missouri River flood waters, Coroner E. L. Karr and Sheriff Frank A. Carter report, who were summoned to view the body. It is thought that the exertion and excitement of the occasion resulted in the fatal heart attack.
The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs Ruby Dinning; a son, Robert Dinning; and a daughter, Miss Helen Dinning, all of Wathena; and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Absher, Wathena; Mrs. Edna Engeman, Elwood; and Mrs.Edgar King, Highland.
Funeral Services were held from the Dodds Mortuary, at 2 o'clock, Monday afternoon, Rev. J.H. Reynolds, officiating. Interment was in Cowger cemetery.
