IDA LOUISA NAGLER
Ida Louisa, daughter of Shirley and Fern Beard, was born in Scott Township, Steuben County, Indiana, Aug. 5, 1911; departed this life after a long illness at the home of her parents, Oct. 11, 1937, at the age of 26 years, 2 months and 6 days.
She attended school at Scott Center, graduating with the high school class of 1930. She then took a business course at the International Business College at Fort Wayne.
During the ministry of Eld. George B. Townsend, at the time a meeting conducted by Eld. C.S. Medbury, Ida confessed Christ and united with a Christian church at Angola, Feb. 17, 1924. Here her membership has remained.
Aug. 5, 1933, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Nagler, of Auburn. To this union two children were born, Joan and Joe. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Nagler resided in Fort Wayne until September, 1936, when because of her sickness she was brought to the home of her parents where she received every possible care and kindness.
Ida was always ambitious, thorough and painstaking in whenever she did. She possessed those true qualities of womanly goodness and grace which gave her the power to make friends wherever she went. She was a thoughtful and obedient child, a true and loyal wife, a loving and devoted mother and a consistent Christian, who faced her sickness with the same faith and fortitude that she faced the whole of life.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband and two children, her father and mother, one sister and two brothers, besides other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. John Humfreys assisted by Rev. M.O. Johnston and Rev. George Brown, were held from the South Scott church, and October 13th with burial in the South Scott cemetery.
