Born January 4, 1924 in Legore, he was the son of the late Charles Roy and Beatrice Hahn Clemm.
He was the husband of Kathryn E. Long Clemm, his wife of 68 years.
Mr. Clemm served in the Army and was a POW during World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was formerly employed with Fort Detrick in the boiler plant, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Glenn W. Eyler Post 282 American Legion, Woodsboro, and a former member of the New Midway Fire Department.
He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, hunting, boating and gardening, and loved spending time with his family.
Mr. Clemm's family would like to thank Visiting Angels and Hospice of Frederick County for their care.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children, Linda Misner and husband, Jim of Walkersville, Dennis Clemm and wife, Terry of Keedysville, John Clemm of Frederick; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Gloria Clemm.
He was predeceased by sisters, Emma Stitley and Hazel Bruchey; and brothers, Joseph and Charles Clemm.
The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main St., Woodsboro, on Sunday, March 15 from 6 to 8 p.m.
A military graveside service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Rocky Hill Cemetery, Woodsboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hartzler Funeral Home, P.O. Box 249, New Windsor, MD 21776.
