S/O Jesse and Carrie (Becker) Loucks in Gray County.
He married Ruth (Russell) Cagle Dec. 2, 1944. She died June 4, 1978.
He then married Jean (Copple) Koch Sept. 8, 1979. She died in October of 2003.
He served in the U.S. Infantry from Oct. 1940 to June 1945 as a special duty military police at Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska.
He farmed in the Copeland area until his retirement. He was also in the well drilling business for many years in a partnership with his brother, David, in the Loucks Brothers Drilling Company.
He attended the United Methodist Church in Copeland and was a member of the First Christian Church of Christ in Tucson.
He was also a member of the Copeland American Legion No. 369, the Elks Club, Tucson, and the United Telephone Association Board, Dodge City.
He is survived by one step daughter, Rose Marie (Cagle) Sebastian and husband, Carl, Oklahoma City; one step grandson, Steve Sebastian, Oklahoma City; three brothers, Ora Loucks, Montezuma, David Loucks and wife, Mildred, Copeland, and Walter Loucks, Mesa, Ariz.; five sisters, Effie Koehn, Montezuma, Frances Peterson, Greensburg, Mary Jo Parker, Greensburg, Charlotte Sawyer, Longmont, Colo., and Martha Garetson, Montezuma; one sister-in-law, Josephine Loucks, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and many nephews and nieces and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Johnnie Loucks, Harvey Loucks and Leon Loucks; and three sisters, Mildren Brown, Myrtle Dunham and Samantha Loucks.
* Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Copeland with the Rev. David Jenkins presiding.
