Ronald W. Cubbison, 69, passed away, Thursday, October 16, 2008, at his home [Hanover].
Born March 6, 1939, in Milford Township, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Blanche (Schlegel) Cubbison.

Ron graduated with honors in painting from the Philadelphia College of Art. Receiving a Max Beckmann Award from the Brooklyn Museum, he continued with a year of Study in New York, and completed his formal education with a Masters of Fine Arts in painting from the Pennsylvania State University.

Ron was on the faculty of Towson State as an Associate Professor of Art for over 30 years. His artwork was displayed in numerous art shows throughout his life. He has traveled the world and also enjoyed horticulture and hiking.

Surviving are one brother, Richard Cubbison, of Lewistown; four sisters, Donis Hartman of Burnham, Arlene Ickes of Phoenixville, Shirley Hill of Nashville, Tenn., and Jeanne McCrory of Harrisburg; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by two sisters, Floe Thibodeau and Nancy Pennebaker.

A service to celebrate Ronald's life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2008, at Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover. A time to share memories with the family will be held 10 a.m. until the time of service.
