Sheldon married Gwenda Hatch on August 10, 1958. Together they had four children and later divorced, but remained close friends. Sheldon was a rancher and also worked as a heavy equipment operator at Kemmerer Coal for 36 years. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He enjoyed spending his time off with friends and family and camping in his sheep camp.
Sheldon is survived by his daughter Shelly Wilson-Schoessler of Wasila, Alaska; daughter Jeanie W. (Rick) Limb of Randolph, Utah; son Dale C. (Kim) Wilson of Randolph, Utah; daughter Joan (Jon) Ayres of Lyman; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers Junior, Jay, Bill Zieglar; and sister Eunice Warren.
He is preceded in death by his father Clyde Frank Wilson, mother Iva Eunice Wilson, brother Ross Wilson, brother Max Wilson, brother Tom Wilson, sister Margaret Lamborn, sister Uarda Bench, and sister Verlyn Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at the Randolph LDS Church on Monday, March 2, at noon. A viewing will also be held at the Randolph LDS Church on Sunday, March 1, from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be at the Randolph City Cemetery following the service.
