Maryanne Barclay of Tulsa Oklahoma, died Feb 28, 2015, at the age of 85. She was reared in Stroud Oklahoma. Her father was the Police Chief. Maryanne was an elementary teacher for thirty-two years and retired from Tulsa Public schools. She had also taught in Davenport, Oak Grove and Lawton Oklahoma schools. Maryanne, husband Bill and their sons, enjoyed their horses and camping. After Bill's death and her retirement she had many interests and enjoyed taking tours with her friends, the Red Hat Society, and loved being a member of the Perennial Garden Association. Working in her yard and flower beds gave her hours of enjoyment. One summer she volunteered at the Yellowstone National Park, where she worked in their sift shop. A very independent person she enjoyed doing service work helping others in need, and spent years delivering meals in the Meals On Wheels program. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill and her two sisters, Betty Murphy Summers and Eloise Murphy Swan. Her sons and their wives survive as well as other family members and many dear friends. Services will be Mar 4, 2015 at eh New Home Free Will Baptist Church in Tulsa.
