Vida Hulet, 99, a former resident of the Teton Valley and Idaho Falls, died Jan. 17, 2002 in Clinton, Utah.
She was born March 27, 1902 at Driggs, Idaho, to William Thomas Munjar Hill and Zina Luella Crandall Hill. She grew up and attended schools in Driggs.
On July 26, 1920, she married Albert F Hulet in Sugar City. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan, Utah Temple on Dec. 9, 1920. After their marriage they resided in Driggs and Victor, then later moved to Idaho Falls to officiate in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
They briefly moved to Boise to be near their family until her husband's death in 1977. After his death, she lived in Boise, Victorville, California.; and Clinton, Utah. She was a homemaker.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served as a missionary with her husband to the Southern States Mission, in the Relief Society as president and other positions, in the Primary, and in the M.I.A. She loved her family and enjoyed genealogy. For 10 years she was active in the name extraction program, working with French names.
Survivors include her three sons, William Albert (Betty), now serving an LDS mission in San Diego, Calif., Duane Marion (Joy) Hulet of Spokanne, Wash., and S. Mark Hulet of St. George, Utah; a daughter, Barbara H. (Owen Dean) Call now serving an LDS mission in Quito, Ecuador; a brother Irven (Bernice) Hill of Chubbuck, Idaho; two sisters, Emma Margaret Jensen of Clinton, Utah, and Wilma (Lee) Wilding of Teton, Idaho; 24 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was proceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Jan. 21, 2002, at Wood Funeral Home, 373 N. Ridge Ave. in Idaho Falls with her grandson Barry Hulet, officiating. Burial was in the Victor Cemetery in Victor, Idaho
