Mrs. Fred (Daphne) Minder, 55, Monticello, died Thursday, April 30, in University Hospitals, Madison. She had entered the hospital on April 25. Death followed a lingering illness. Daphne Qualley was born in Attica on Aug. 9, 1925, the daughter of William E. and Alta Crossgrove Qualley. She attended the Albany and Attica schools. Her marriage to Fred W. Minder took place on Feb. 23, 1946, in Browntown. They had lived in Monticello since their marriage and she assisted her husband with cheesemaking and had also been employed at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe, for a time and at the Dorman Cheese Company in Monroe.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 3, in the United Methodist Church at Albany. The Rev. Marjorie Rice, church pastor, and the Rev. Paul Kirker, assistant pastor at Zwingli UCC Church officiated. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery, Albany.
Survivors include her husband, Fred; a son, Randy, Seminole, Fla.; two. daughters, Shirley Jones, Albany, and Fritzi Rupp, Monticello; two brothers, Russell Qualley, Monroe, and Lowell, Evansville, and six sisters, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Deininger, Brodhead, her twin; Mrs. Walter (Jean) Elmer and Mrs. Kenneth (June) Blumer, Albany, also twins; Mrs. Deylile (Ruth) Malkow, Albany; Mrs. Glen (Vera) Zimmerman, both of Monroe, and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1940 and her mother on Feb. 9, 1981.
