Lena Faye White of De Kalb, Texas, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015, at a De Kalb, Texas, nursing home. She was 96. Lena was born August 5, 1918, in Malta, Texas, to Lidge Atchley and Mae Bell Hodgson.
She was a homemaker and a member of Austin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Clifford “Bud” White in 1996, and one grandson, Phillip White, in 1991.
She is survived by one son and daughter in-law, Travis and Brenda White of De Kalb, Texas; one daughter and son in-law, Shelva and Starkey Smith of De Kalb, Texas; one brother and sister in-law, H.O. and Ima Fay Russell of Malta, Texas; four grandchildren, Keith and Clyda White, Gena White, Shane and Nancy Smith, and Patricia White; seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3:30 P.M. Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Austin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas, with Rev. Richard White officiating.
