Donna L. Babbitt of Corvallis died Monday at her home. She was 80..


She was born in Moab, Utah.

She married Horace "Babe" Babbitt in 1943 and lived in Compton, Calif., until moving to Roseburg in 1963. She also lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, where her husband passed away in 1967, and Grand Junction, Colo., before moving to Corvallis in 1973 with her three youngest sons.

She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include daughters, Suzanne Van Zanten of Fort Collins, Colo., Carla Stephenson of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Donna "Jan" Babbitt of Albany; sons, Phil of Corona, Calif., Jim of Thousand Palms, Calif., Bryan of Corvallis, and Brent of Albany; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Arlen.

Visitation will be from 9 to 5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 19, at DeMoss-Durdan Funeral Home. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at DeMoss-Durdan. Memorial contributions can be sent to the charity of your choice.
