LEBANON, SC - Mary Blanton Singletary, 79, of Lebanon, wife of Donald H. Singletary, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 surrounded by family and friends. Friends and family may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 2 o'clock PM at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1383 Lebanon Road, Lebanon. Mary was born on November 27, 1935 in Lebanon, SC, daughter of the late Mouzon Blanton and Zadie (Salisbury) Blanton. She worked for Rodenburg Super Market in the 1950's. She was also employed by Cigar Factory and Westvaco in North Charleston. Mary was currently working as the bookkeeper for Lebanon Quick Stop. She was a member of Lebanon Ladies Aide and treasurer for Lebanon United Methodist Church where she was also a member. She was a great supporter of the Lebanon Fire Department. Surviving are her husband, Donald, of 59 years; three children: Sheree L. Singletary (Gary Platt), Pete Singletary (Lori) and Sam Singletary (Melissa), all of Lebanon; 12 grandchildren: Cody, Hayley, Hunter, Jennifer, Brandon, Bryce, Ali, Joseph, Jenna, Robbi, Stephen and Jennifer; six great-grandchildren; one brother: Henry M. Blanton (Joyce) of Lebanon; one sister: Fannie Owens of Lebanon; sister-in-law: Peggy Hill of Lebanon. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Blanton and her sister, Melwood Murray.
