Nancy Ann (Mewes) Wiley, 71, of Parkersburg, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 25 at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 24 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wiley was born September 3, 1943, in Bone Gap, the daughter of Frederick and Geneva (Koertge) Mewes. She married John D. Wiley on April 1, 1966. He survives.

Nancy was a homemaker. She graduated from Edwards County High School in 1961. Nancy attended Beauty College in Decatur, graduating in 1963. In 1969, she and John moved to Olney, where she operated a beauty shop from her home for several years. In 1983, she and her husband opened and operated a furniture store. At the age of 41, she received a softball scholarship to OCC, where she pitched every inning except two that season. She was inducted into the Edwards County Athletic Hall of Fame. Nancy was a loving mother and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She also was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church of West Salem.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, John D. Wiley Jr., of Parkersburg; children, Hope (Mark) Wooldridge, of Plainfield; David (Lori) Wiley, of Paris, and Terri (Kenny) Clodfelter, of West Salem; grandchildren, Mark, Daniel and Bailey Wooldridge, Eli Wiley, and Tyger and Darcy Clodfelter; and brothers, Kenneth (June) Mewes and Jerry (Marilyn) Mewes, all of Bone Gap.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joe Mewes.
