Alyne was born April 19, 1917 in Glasgow, Kentucky, daughter of the late William Robert Royse and Minnie Shives Royse. On May 6, 1939, she married her beloved husband, Ray Dennison in Bowling Green, KY. Over the years, she lived in Louisville, KY, Evansville, IN, Elizabethtown, KY, Cave City, KY, Sebring, FL, and Charleston, SC.She and her husband owned a drive-in restaurant, the Lincoln Car Hop, in Elizabethtown, KY. They spent most of their retirement years in Sebring, FL.
She is survived by one daughter, Burnetta Dennison Schrecker and her husband, Ray L. Schrecker of Mount Pleasant, SC; her four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, Larry and his wife Julia, and their children Will, Henry, and Kate, Joey and his wife Robin, and their children Lauren and Bennett, Elizabeth and her daughter Britney, and Michael and his wife Lori, and their children Ella and Charlie; her sister, Merida Royse Jolly; and her many loving nieces and nephews in Kentucky and Indiana. She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Ella, Minnie, Fannye, Annie, Lydis, Joe, Otis, and Owen.Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made in Alyne's name to the Carolina Children's Charity, 1064 Gardner Road, Charleston, SC 29407 (www.carolinachildren.org).
