My great-aunt, Clella Alene, was born in Pottersville, Howell County, Missouri to Jess May and Melissa Ellen FOX May.

On October 19, 1927, she married my great-uncle, Edmond Mitchell Hudlow, son of William Wright Hudlow and Eliza Jane GAROUTTE Hudlow, and brother to my grandmother, Amanda Ullman HUDLOW Arnold.

Great-aunt Clella and great-uncle Ed were blessed with about five children, Cammie, Pauline, Paul Eldon, Delbert, and Robert Lowell, although, they lost their son, Delbert, to death in 1964. She was, also, a grandmother and great-grandmother.

In 1950, my little cousin, (daughter of my Aunt Nadine) who lived only one day, was named "Alene", Aunt Clella's middle name, in her honor.

In 1975, Aunt Clella was preceded in death by her husband. She was to follow him the next year.

Great-aunt Clella was survived by four of her children, her grandchildren, and many other family members and a host of friends.

She was loved and missed by all.
