Helen Kostielney was born on February 12, 1910 in Detroit, Michigan to proud parents Steven and Mary (Halivinski) Kostielney. The Maternal Grandparents are Thomas and Josephine (Belesky) Halivinski, German-Poland immigrants. The Paternal Grandparents are Andrew and Mary (Hollis) Kostielney, both Prussian born immigrants.

Helen was the second child and only daughter of six children in the Kostielney Family. Her siblings are as follows in chronilogical order: 1) Mr. Harry Herman Kostielney of Detroit, Michigan. 3) Mr. Edward N. Kostielney of of Wyandotte, Michigan. 4) Mr. George Kostielney of Detroit, Michigan. 5) Mr. Raymond Kostielney of Lakewood, California 6) and Mr. Stanley W. Kostielney of Detroit, Michigan also. Mary and Steven raised a large, proud, and successfull family.

Miss Kostielney was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Joseph Galea (2-21-1903 to 9-7-1993) on August 4th, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan. They were blessed with one daughter, Delores Galea. Delores Galea married Bobbie Brendt and their children are as follows in chronilogical order: Allen, Cindy, Kenny, Shirley, Timmy, and Terry Brendt.

Mrs. Helen Galea died on January 28th, 1975 in Detroit, Michigan. The arrangements were handled by Jarzembowski Funeral Home, services were held at St. Francis D'Assisi Church and the interment is at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. She is buried beside her adored husband, Joseph, and are close by her parents, Steven & Mary Kostielney. The cemetery is a regarded as one of the great Polish-Catholic cemeteies in the area history of Detroit, Michigan. Helen will be greatly missed and our memories of her cherished for always.
