Mrs. Eual Shaw Nichols, age 89 of Rome, passed away Sunday February 15, 2015, in a local assisted living facility, after an extended illness.

Mrs. Nichols was born in Polk County, on August 9, 1925, a daughter of the late Bessie Hampton Shaw, and Ralph Beman Shaw. She was preceded in death by first husband, George C. “Buddy” Langston, on January 16, 1962, and her second husband, Johnnie R. Nichols, on October 13, 2001, three sisters, Lagatha Moody, Cecil Pruitt, and Hazel Shaw.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Ann (Clayton Ray) Wilson, Armuchee; two grandsons, Christopher C. (Vickie) Wilson, Coosa; Mickey L. (Sabrina) Wilson, Silver Creek; one granddaughter, Penni Joy Martin, Armuchee; six great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday February 18, 2015 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.’s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Rodger Whorton, officiating. Interment will follow in North View Cemetery, in Cedartown. The family will receive friends 2:00 P.M. until the hour of the service on Wednesday at Parnick Jennings, Sr.’s Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Wilson, Mickey Wilson, Lane Wilson, Cody Wilson, Justin Henderson, and Derek Potts.
