Mother: Edna MARKT Alkire
Betty Lou, the daughter of G.E. and Edna Markt Alkire, passed away at her home in Council Bluffs, Iowa, November 30, 1930, at the tender age of eight years, 7 months, and 22 days. She was born at Craig, MO, April 9, 1922. This little sunbeam will be missed by her parents, three sisters, Elizabeth June, Anna Margaret and other relatives and friends mourn her departure.
On December 2, 1930, an impressive service was held for Betty Lou at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Mound City, conducted by Rev. G.H. Wostemeyer, and then the body was committed to the ground, after the spirit returned to the God who gave it.
