COLUMBIA FALLS - Merton "Skip" C. Allen Jr. passed away at his home in Columbia Falls on February 10, 2015. He was born on July 17, 1943, the son of the late Merton C. Allen Sr. and Marion L. (Foss) Allen of Columbia Falls.Merton enjoyed working in the woods, but most of all, he loved harvesting his blueberry land. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias. Formerly, Merton was employed as the president of the Pleasant River Canning. In remembrance of "Skip" may be made to Brigham and Women's Hospital Development Office, 116 Huntington Ave., 3rd floor Boston, MA 02116. Arrangements were made by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home in Machias.
