Arlene [Graham] Birchard, of Birchardville, PA passed away, Monday, October 14, 2013 at her home. Born May 21, 1928 in Birchardville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Otis and Florence [Tinklepaugh] Graham. Her husband Selden Chapin Birchard Jr. predeceased her on December 3, 2012.
She was a member of Birchardville Baptist Church, Endless Mountains Quilting Guild and the Choconut Garden Club. Arlene was retired from IBM. She loved being with her family. She was involved with 4-H, church activities, loved her quilting and enjoyed attending auctions with Selden.
Survivors include five children, Louise Small of Irish Hill, PA; Larry (Sheila) Birchard, Dennis (Sheila) Birchard, Debra (Ronald) Smith, Eileen Birchard, all of Birchardville, PA; 17 grandchildren: Brian (Maria) Small, Brock (Alison) Small, Lance (Renee) Birchard, Gregg (Cherie) Birchard, Autumn (Joseph) Evanek, Shaloam (Evan) Dyer, Chantal Birchard, Chapin Birchard, Jacob Smith, Justin (Stacy) Smith; great grandchildren: Makenna, Logan, Frank, Dakota, Corey, Noah, Rachael, Sarah, Dustin, Luke; brother, Reginald Graham of Florida; sister-in-law, Glendora Graham of Birchardville, PA; brothers & sister-in-law, Courtland Birchard of Birchardville, PA; Gene (Rose) Birchard of Endicott, NY; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her husband & parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Gladys Louise Graham; brothers, Millard & Bernard Graham; son-in-law, William Small; infant granddaughter Small; great granddaughter, Taylor Birchard & sister-in-law, Ednita Graham.
Services: 11AM Friday at the Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., Montrose, PA 18801.
Visitation: 7-9PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
