Martha "Ruth" [Klinger] Etter, 84, died at 6:15 AM Monday, June 28, 1999, at St. Anthony Health Care. Born Jan. 3, 1915, in Lafayette, she was a life resident of the area, and a 1934 graduate of Jefferson High School. She married Leonard C. Etter on Nov. 28, 1935; he survives.

Mrs. Etter was a homemaker, and a member of Schuyler Avenue Wesleyan Church and Perry Township Home Economics Club.

Surviving with her husband are a son, Leonard J.C. Etter of Lafayette; a daughter, Nancy (Mrs. Darwin) Titus of West Lafayette; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
