Della, aka "Alda" was the wife of James Arthur Jones (1866-1915). They were married on August 27, 1891 in Durham, Marion County, Iowa and they had six children together including: Mary Velta, Ruby Ethel, Bessie Fern, Emma Alora and Forest Edwin Jones. They also had an infant son who was born and died on September 27, 1892 in Marion County, Iowa. Alda was the daughter of Alfred McVay and Mary Ann (Randel) McVay.

Please note: Although her headstone reads "Aldis Adell Jones" she often went by the name, "Alda" or "Della."
