Mary Accordino, 83, formerly of Clearfield and most recently of Marion Manor II, Curwensville died on Thursday, March 25, 2004 at the manor.
She was born on February 20, 1921 in Giosa Maria, Italy, a daughter of the late Gaetano and Rose (Ettaro) Sorbera.
Mrs. Accordino was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Rose Baxter and husband Richard MD; Jo Tubbs and husband Kenneth Clearfield; a granddaughter, Lisa Ross and husband Hugh Williamsport; two brothers, Sam Sorbera and wife Josephine Clearfield; Anthony Sorbera, Clearfield, several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Accordino on September 30, 1969 and whom she married in June of 1948, an infant daughter Anna, sisters Nicoletta Miraglia and Tindara Sorbera and a brother Joseph Sorbera.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Monday at 10:00 AM with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Sunday from 2-4 and
7-9 PM and on Monday from 9 AM – 9:30 AM.
A Christian Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 8:30 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Marion Manor II, 1223 Schofield St. Ext., Curwensville, PA or to Clearfield Foundation for Health and Hospice, P.O. Box 992, Clearfield, PA.
