Pierre is the son of Noel Blanchet and Madeleine Valet. He married Marie-Anne Fournier on 17 February 1670, in Quebec. They are the parents of 16 children, but only 7 survived to adulthood. They are the parents of the following (verified with PRDH except *):

He was a weaver by trade. He also worked as a cultivator on his Pointe-a-la-Caille property, as well as harvesting his lumber which he then sold for use in Quebec City. It was written in the parish register regarding Pierre: "This 12th day of the month of April in the year 1709 has been buried in the cemetery of the parish Saint Thomas of the Pointe-a-la-Caille by me the undersigned..."
