Obit from Messenger of Truth Issue 5, 1959:

Anna Catharine (Loucks) Bowen, daughter of Peter and Mary (Holdeman) Loucks, was born near Elkhart, Ind., Sept. 4, 1869, and passed away in Mercy Hospital, Moundridge, Kansas, on Feb. 17, 1959, attending a ripe old age of 89 years, 5 months and 13 days.
In 1888 she married Rollin Geisinger, who died in 1897. In 1906 she married Walter Bowen and lived together for over 45 years. Mr. Bowen passed away in 1951. They lived in Dallas, Tex., for many years until they moved to the Hesston area, first to the former Daniel Holdeman farm home, and later lived in Hesston. Soon after the death of Mr. Bowen, Sister Anna made her home with Sister Fannie Holdeman. A year ago in January she became a resident of the Schmidt home for the Aged in Moundridge. The second day of this month she suffered a stroke after which she was taken to Mercy Hospital where she remained until her end.
In Sister Anna's old age, through the grace of God, she could not forget her Creator, nor her early training even as the Scripture states, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Upon a blessed experience of conversion through faith in Christ she was baptized and became a member of the Church of God in Christ, Oct. 11, 1951.
As she endeavored to faithfully serve her Lord and Saviour the remaining short years of her life, she had her struggles, but humbly pressed on to the end, gaining the victory through Christ. After the Lord forgave her sins and shed abroad His love in her heart, she manifested much concern for the lost and heathen that the Gospel of light should be proclaimed to them, and to this end she economized that in also a material way she might do what she could to help the cause; and many a quilt and comforter top for relief was the result of her willing hands. She left a faithful testimony that she was ready to meet her Lord and often, especially of late, expressed her desire to go home. Whereupon in faith we expect to meet her on the other side of glory.
Her homegoing leaves to this earthly life two brothers, Jesse Loucks, Copeland, Kansas; Jonas Loucks, Wichita; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Tribble, Hesston; Mrs. Dora Jants, Weir, Kansas; and Mrs. Samantha Unruh, Galva, Kansas, with many other relatives and friends.
