CUMBERLAND — Margaret Ann “Peggy” Mundy, 66, of Cumberland, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va..
Born on July 9, 1947, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late John Sr. and Wilda (Mayhew) Alburtis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James R. Mundy Jr.; two brothers, John A. Alburtis and Donald R. Alburtis Sr. and one grandson Travis Powelson..
Peggy was a Licensed Practical Nurse for several nursing homes. She also spent time driving truck for several freight companies. .
Surviving are her three daughters, Donica Evans, Leeann Mundy and LaToya Mundy; two sons, James R. Mundy III and Robert Powelson; one sister, Sandy Brown; eleven grandchildren, Shan-telle, Natasha, Natalie, Autumn, Cheyanne, Ryleigh, Skylar, Grace, Cayleigh, Chelsie and Colter; two great-grandsons, Jonathan and Kameron; numerous nieces and nephews. .
As per her request, she will be cremated, and a service will be held at a later date..
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, MD 21502 to help defray funeral expenses..
