GREENVILLE ADVOCATE - 03JAN2002 - OBITUARIES - SARAH M. NEER
Funeral services will be held Saturday for Sarah M. Neer, 79, of Greenville. She died 02Jan at 2:45 a.m. at Utlaut Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
The Rev. Darryl Bolen will officiate the service, which will be at 11 a.m. at the Young Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Greenville.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m at the funeral home.
Mrs. Neer was born 13May1922 in Mulberry Grove, the daughter of Roscoe & Eleanor (McMaster) Rockwell. She married Charles S. Neer 14Sep1940 in St. Charles, MO. He died 28Apr1991.
She is survived by a son, Don Neer of Greenville; a sister, Mildred Haskin of Kokomo, IN; & 2 grandchildren.
Mrs. Neer was reared in Mulberry Grove & graduated from Mulberry Grove High School. She moved to Greenville after her marriage, & had worked at several area restaurants. She had last worked at the Bond Co. Senior Citizens Center, retiring in August of 2001 after 14 years. She was a member of the Greenville Central Christian Church.
Memorials may be made to the Bond Co. Senior Citizens Center.
