Mildred J. Haskin, 90, Kokomo, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Waterford Place. She was born April 10, 1924, in Mulberry Grove, Illinois, to Roscoe and Ellen (McMaster) Rockwell. On July 30, 1945, she married Robert B. Haskin, and he preceded her in death on January 15, 1991.
She graduated from high school in 1938 from Bond County. She had worked at Delco Electronics and was a member of UAW Local 292. She loved the Lord and being with her family, and she enjoyed crocheting, reading, writing/poetry, and going to church.
She is survived by three children, Sharon Leonard (Gene), David Haskin (Young), and Cheryl Yoder (Robin); five grandchildren, Melissa Johnson (Tim), Greg Leonard, Ashley Rowe (Garry), Ryan Yoder (Kristina), and Lindsay Berry (Travis); six step-grandchildren, Mike Leonard, Jeff Leonard, Melissa Reeder (Tom), Chris Leonard (Susan), Shara Pounds (Derek), and Mimi Davis; 20 great-grandchildren; Sara M. Neer; and one nephew, Donald Neer (Barbara), Greenville, Illinois.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Allen; and niece, Nadine Hilliard.
The family would like to thank Senior Helpers of Logansport and the caring staff at Waterford Place for their diligence.
The funeral service will be held at noon on Friday at Family Worship Center, 1149 E. Center Rd., Kokomo, with Pastor Jim Bradley officiating. Pallbearers will be Ryan Yoder, Greg Leonard, Jeff Leonard, Tim Johnson, Garry Rowe, and Travis Berry. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
