Even though the actual location of this grave in unknown at this time, it is presumed this man is buried in one of the hundreds of unmarked early pioneer graves at Lone Mountain based upon the newspaper articles surrounding his life. More research will be done on this individual especially since he was a stagecoach driver and one of the original "Pony Express" mail carriers. I believe Mr. King's first name may have been Anthony, and possibly was know as Tony, which eventually became Pony. He was married to Catherine Ruth Van Nest, who died March 10, 1918 in San Francisco, CA. Per the 1880 Census, she was divorced from Mr. King. Sometime prior to Mr. Kings death in 1880, they lost a son Orrin King to scarlet fever.
