FORMER RESIDENT PAID RESPECTS AT FUNERAL HERE

Funeral Services were held Monday afternoon in Mount Pleasant First-Fourth L.D.S. Ward Chapel for Robert Hugh BARENTSEN, Las Vegas, former Mount Pleasant and Fountain Green resident, who died October 21, 1971, of a heart ailment in a Las Vegas hospital.

He was born December 12, 1904, in Fountain Green, a son of Andrew M. and Lottie Johnson BARENTSEN. He married Ruth Syndergaard, February 24, 1931, in Nephi. He was a farmer and a member of the L.D.S. Church. They made their home in Mount Pleasant until moving to Las Vegas seven years ago.

Surviving are his widow, Las Vegas; son, Welby BARENTSEN, Mount View, California; daughters, Mrs. Will (Jean) BROWN, Garden Grove, Illinois; Mrs. John (Tudy) WARTH, Pocatello, Idaho; nine grandchildren; brothers, Carl BARENTSEN, Mount Pleasant; Howard BARENTSEN and Dell BARENTSEN, both Salt Lake City.

Robert Jorgensen, counselor in the Fourth Ward bishopric, conducted the services. Prelude and postlude music was played by Louise Seely; prayer at mortuary, Gary Carver; vocal solo, Alice Hafen, accompanied by Judy Anderson; invocation, Arnold Y. Stevens; vocal solo, Floyd Nelson, accompanied by Roger Hansen; remarks, Robert Jorgensen; violin solo, Katie Hansen, accompanied by Roger Hansen; speaker, Bishop Mack L. Wilkey; prayer, Alvin Coombs.

Interment was in Mount Pleasant City Cemetery directed by Ursenbach Funeral Home. Dedication of the grave was by Dell BARENTSEN.

Pallbearers were Howard BARENTSEN, Mont NELSON, Dale LARSEN, Maurice HERMANSEN, Larry KING and Albert KAY.
