Helen P. Thompson, 95 of West Kittanning, died Monday, January 26, 2015 at ACMH. she was born November 1, 1919 in Kittanning, daughter of the late-Curt and Nan Redinger McKain. Helen was co-owner with her husband, Carl Thompson, of Thompson’s Market in West Kittanning for many years. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joelene Trudgen Thompson; two step-sons: C. Ben Thompson and Terry Thompson; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; two sons: William and Thomas; brother, William C. McKain; and four sisters: Betty L. Collier, Patricia J. Lasher, Kathryn McKain and an infant sister. Following Helen’s wishes, funeral arrangements will be kept private and handled by Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.
