Born in Pottsville, July 31, 1956, he was a son of Geraldine Jimerson Fenstermacher, Schuylkill Haven, and the late Melvin W. Fenstermacher.
He was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and was employed in swimming pool construction.
Marty was a member of the Seneca Nation of Indians, Heron Clan, Salamanca, N.Y. He enjoyed fishing, boating and pipemaking. He loved to garden and was a prankster. He also loved all the children in his family.
In addition to his father, Marty was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Calvin and Emily Fenstermacher; and maternal grandparents, Walter and Dorothy Jimerson.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two sisters, Dorothy A. Reedy and Susan J. Hummel, both of Schuylkill Haven; a brother, Walter C. Fenstermacher and his companion, Sherri Edwards, Orwigsburg; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; and his cat, Nikki.
A Celebration of Life memorial service was held at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, with Pastor David Rowe officiating.
