James “Tex” Fitzpatrick passed away January 24, 2015 at his home in El Reno. He was born October 7, 1934 in Whitewhite, TX to William Haywood and Laudie Mae (Eason) Fitzpatrick.

He worked for the City of El Reno in the water department and later worked for Walgreens Home Health delivering medications. He was a preacher and an artist. He enjoyed spending time with his family, motorcycle riding, gardening, and taking care of his animals. He loved life. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters Penelope Potter and Melinda and Belinda Fitzpatrick, brothers Wiley H. Fitzpatrick, and sisters Louise Abbott and Harla Thompson.

Survivors include his wife of the home; 2 sons; a daughter; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Baptist Church in El Reno with burial to follow in the Red Rock Cemetery in Calumet.
