Mrs. Emma Popplewell Wooten, formerly of Somerset, died Saturday at a Louisville hospital after a five-year illness.

The daughter of the late James C. and Minnie Bell Meeks Wright, she was born June 16, 1906 in Russell County. She was married to Eddison
Popplewell in 1927 at Somerset. He preceded her in death. She was married to Robert Wooten December 17, 1952 at Somerset.

Mrs. Wooten was a member of the Baptist Church at Louisville.

She is survived by the following children Wendell Popplewell, New Albany, Ind.; Mrs. Rosewell Harvey, Jeffersonville, Ind.; Mrs. Mary Moore, Dewey Popplewell, Everett Popplewell, Gilbert Popplewell, and Mrs. Jean Denham, all of Louisville. Also surviving are two sisters,
Mrs. Edna West, Monticello; Mrs. Jane Coomer, Russell Springs, and one brother, Vernon Wright, Jabez.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, July 4th in the chapel of Denney-Murrell-Correll Funeral Home with the Rev Charles E. Correll officiating. Burial in the Grave Hill Cemetery. Denney-Murrell-Correll Funeral Home in charge of arrangements
