Charles "Chuck" F. Stenger, Jr., age 94, of Peoria, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Rosewood Care Center in Peoria.


Born October 6, 1920 In Kickapoo, IL. he was a son to the late Charles and Cecelia Stenger. Chuck married Elta Fern Henry on December 20, 1941. She preceded him in death on January 20, 2006.


He is survived by two daughters: Sandy (Pat) Regan and Kim (Mike) Miller; three brothers: Gene Stenger, Ray (Mary) Stenger and Andy (Ollie) Stenger; as well as three sisters: Sister Jean Francis Stenger, Mary Louise Stenger, and Cecelia Guth.


Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; his son Daniel Stenger; his grandson Brandon Miller; one brother Donald Stenger; and three sisters: Margaret Nauman, Dorothy Cluskey, and Rosemary Duley.


Chuck worked at Hiram Walker & Sons, from which he retired in September 1981. He spent many years working concessions at Peoria Stadium, Richwoods High School, Bradley University, and Tom Connor Field in East Peoria. After retiring from Hiram Walker, he was the party deck manager for the Peoria Chiefs Organization at Meinen Field.


Entombment will take place in Resurrection Mausoleum.
