Ralph A. Pfefferkorn, a life long resident of Chaffee, died Tuesday afternoon at about 4:30 at his home. He was 67 years old. Mr. Pfefferkorn was the vice president of the Chaffee Lumber Company at the time of his death.
He was born on July 27, 1911 in Chaffee. He was a retired mail carrier. He began his employment with the postal service in 1930 as a clerk. He was rural carrier from February, 1957 until July 1972. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and the National Rural Letter Carriers Association.
On May 27, 1937, he married the former Miss Lucille M. Garnet of Chaffee.
Survivors include his wife, a son John R. Pfefferkorn of Cape, a daughter, Mrs. Sherry Davis of Chaffee, two brothers, E. Mike and Paul Paul Pfefferkorn of Chaffee, a sister, Anita Pfefferkorn of Chaffee, four grandchildren and a great grandchild.
