Services for Harmon E. Russell were Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of Christ with Mr. Floyd Johnson and Mr. Ray Hilliard officiating.
Born February 28, 1930, at Leon, the son of William and Lottie Mae Ward Russell, Mr. Russell died November 6, 1992, in an Ardmore hospital at the age of 62.
He spent his youth in the Leon Community and had lived in Lone Grove the last 10 years, moving there from McLoud. Mr. Russell was a retired truck driver and a member of the Church of Christ. He was married to the former Vera Cates Nolen.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vera Russell of the home at Lone Grove; three sons, Thomas Paul Russell of Sherman, Texas, and David Larry Russell and Steve Gene Russell of Houston, Texas; three step-sons, Joe Dale Nolen of Newalla, Johnny Ray Nolen of McLoud, and Jeff Nolen of Inverness, Florida; two step-daughters, Janetta Higdon of McLoud and Cheryl Stites of Lone Grove; two brothers, Alan Russell of Greenville and Quenton Russell of Thackerville; five sisters, Ola Kendall of Leon, Ruby Williams of Oklahoma City, Willie Mae Barnes of McLoud, and Doris Carlile and Evelyn Hood of Denton, Texas; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his father in 1962, his mother in 1949, and a sister, Mae Coley in 1990.
Interment was in the Leon Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.
