Services for Edith Murdock age 100, of Grapeland will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Light on a Hill Church, 631 FM 228, Grapeland. Burial will follow in Murdock Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Mrs. Murdock died Thursday at North Cypress Medical Center in Houston. She was born December 10, 1914 in Houston County to J.L. and Naomi Cook Nichols. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Murdock was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl Murdock, a daughter Joanne Melvin, sisters, Louise Cheatham, Oleta Wallace, Ruby Musgrove, and Eva Grimes, and her brother Idas Nichols. She is survived by her daughter Norma Concilio of Houston, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
