George LeRoy Brumback, 74, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at his daughter’s home.

George was born on September 10, 1940 in St. Joseph to Thomas and Alice (Burge) Brumback. He retired after 24 years as a foreman at Wire Rope Corp. of America.

George married Pearl Minnie Meade on July 23, 1957. She preceded him in death October 4, 2010.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard; and sister, Joyce.

Surviving family includes daughter, Brenda (Tim) Hornbuckle, of St. Joseph; granddaughters, Mandi (Travis) Wilson and Tawnya (Josh) Bundy; great-grandchildren, Rylee Wilson, Breanna Bundy and Trinity Bundy; brothers, Frank (Francie) and J.C. (Connie) Brumback; sisters, Mabel Beck and Ada Gilmore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

George enjoyed baseball, camping, fishing and hunting.

Services: 1 p.m. Friday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph.

Interment: Ashland Cemetery.
