Gloria "Dodie" Donaldson, 83, of Crawford, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015, in a Waco hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, in Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Waco.

Gloria was born in Speegleville, Texas, to the late Samuel Washington and Launa (Giles) Jones. She married G.O. "Red" Donaldson in 1953. Dodie loved to go shopping, talk, laugh, and play solitaire. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and the Birthday Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002; brothers: John "Bun" Bunyan Jones, Bob Jones, Samuel C. Jones, Alton Jones, Giles Jones, Jimmy Jones, and Eugene "Ike" Jones; and sisters: Pauline Buice, Frances Brice, Hazel Jones, and Ann Clark.

Survivors include her son, Bradley Donaldson and his wife, Linda, of San Diego; daughter, Candace Lay, of Crawford; grandchildren, Mackenzie Perkins and her husband, Tyler, of Chicago, and Morgan Lay, of Waco; her loving dog, Coco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
