Her name is alternately Faucett or Faussett. I could not locate her info on Census -- I found one, but could not read it. On her son's info her maiden name was Faussette.

It seems that she had to raise her two sons alone, and Samuel LaForte Collins grew up to be a California congressman. #9698

I was intrigued by the military tributes left by the cemetery people, so snapped this. I investigated a bit, see she had two sons; but cannot locate military records, yet.

Her grave was nearby those of my husband's relatives, so I searched for where I could upload my photo. If her family members want it transferred, just contact me.
