Ira passed away @ her home in Memphis after a long illness surrounded by all of her living children except one (did not live in Tennessee) & several grandchildren & @ least 1 great grandchild. Dee, her sister & Howard, her brother-in-law, had left for Milledgville just hours before Ira passed away.
Ira was called "Big Mama" by not only her grandchildren, but almost everyone in the family.
