Mrs. Dorothy Biggers Argroves, of Greenville, passed away, Monday, January 12, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Argroves was born November 3, 1928, in Greenville, the daughter of the late Willis A. Biggers, Sr. and Beulah Bailey Biggers. A lifelong resident of Meriwether County, she was a member of Greenville Presbyterian Church and had been active in the church's renovation. She possessed an entrepreneurial spirit, was a computer programmer, licensed real estate agent, had been a self-employed accountant, had written a book and maintained rental property. She was known to always have a project and she loved the beach, but her main love and joy was her family.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Harry A. Argroves of Greenville; daughters, Angela Hand of Greenville, Andrea (Jim) Harding of Greenville, Harriett (Monte) Sharp of Peachtree City; grandchildren, Allen (Tina) Hand, Tiffany (Edwin) MaDan, Adam (Crystal) Hand, Drew (Sissy) Kirk; ; great-grandchildren, Bennett Kirk, Aidan Hand, Adaline MaDan, Mary Margaret Kirk, Marion MaDan, Theney Hand, Ava Hand, Milzie Hand. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, at Greenville United Methodist Church. The Reverend Bill Lawrence will officiate and interment will be in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night.
