Frances Bradley Arnold, 57, of 1041 Corbett St., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Oct. 9, 1944, in Willow Bend, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Rose Bradley Bradley.

She was employed part time by Hoffman Automotive in Hagerstown; and formerly by the U.S. government; and by Valley Credit in Hagerstown for 14 years.

She was a member of Benevola United Methodist Church near Boonsboro.

She is survived by her husband, James R. "J.R." Arnold, whom she married May 5, 1967; a daughter, Wendy Puglisi of Boonsboro; a son, James R. Arnold of Boonsboro; a stepdaughter, Chrystal Otterstedt of Alexandria, Va.; two sisters, Evelyn Guy of Lindside, W.Va., and Mary Miller of Zenith, W.Va.; a brother, Frank Bradley of Lindside; two grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro. The Rev. Helen S. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Benevola United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 19925 Benevola Church Road, Boonsboro, MD 21713; or John R. Marsh Cancer Center, 11110 Medical Campus Road, Suite 129, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
