Mr. Martin Hahn, one of the oldest citizens of Clarion County, died at his home in Beaver Township, Thursday afternoon, January 4, 1917, aged 93 years. As recorded in The Democrat about three weeks ago Mr. Hahn fell off the porch at his home and broke his hip bone. The shock of this injury with his age was more than he could stand, although he had enjoyed rugged health up to that time. He gradually grew weaker and finally passed away about six o'clock of the day named. Mr. Hahn was born in Germany and came to this country with his parents when about five years of age. The family resided in or near Philadelphia for about five years, at the end of which time they removed to Clarion County and settled near where Mr. Hahn died. He is survived by four sons and four daughters. The family and friends have the sympathy of all in their loss.
