Services for Edna L. Brown were Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. John Sconce officiating.
Mrs. Brown was born January 3, 1920, at Enville and died October 19, 1993, in an Ardmore nursing home at the age of 73. She was the daughter of William F. and Cora Stewart Brintle.
A resident of Love County all of her life, she married Earl Lee Brown on June 2, 1938, in Marietta. Mrs. Brown retired from Marietta's Bakery after 20 years of employment. She was a member of the Leon Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William and Rosemary Brown of Marietta; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Edard Culwell of Marietta, Sue McQueen of Ardmore, Barbara Clason of Oklahoma City, and Minnie and Jim Blodgett of Wilson; a brother, Raymond Brintle of Leon; two sisters, Willa Mae McCarty of Leon and Opal Blankenship of Courtney; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband on March 5, 1961, and a granddaughter, Tammy McBride on February 12, 1993.
Interment in the Leon Cemetery was under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home. Grandsons served as casket bearers.
