The cemetery record for Nancy's son Felix (who lived only from 1881-1887) states that he was raised by a couple named Otto and Julianna Jawaskie (Jaworski). Based on this and information in the family history, it appears that Nancy died at or soon after childbirth and John, being advanced in years, asked the Jaworski's, who had no children, to raise Felix and possibly Annie. This is the basis for Nancy's date of death.
John and Nancy's graves are marked with a single rock each (placed by his sons Marion and George) in Bath (Possum Walk) Cemetery in Walker County, Texas.
