David was the first of ten children born to Seldon George and Bernice (Waligorski) Potter. His parents were not married at the time of his birth. So David was given his mother's maiden name. His parent's later married on Sept. 5, 1940. But David's name was never changed to Potter.
David married his second wife Shelia Diane Raley on Oct. 21, 1979 in Tyler TX.
Survived by wife Shelia, Step-son Antonio Lee Ramos, and unborn son David Waligorski Jr., father Seldon George Potter, five brothers Donald Potter, Terry Potter, Raymond Potter, Ronnie Potter and Robert Potter. And four sisters, Elise (Potter) & Dennis Childress, Joan (Potter) Doiron, Diane (Potter ) & Eli Seikaly and Cindy (Potter) Varner.
Preceded in death by his mother Bernice (Waligorski) Potter.
