Mrs. Caroline Annas, one of the oldest ladies of this community, died on March 30th, at the home of her son, W. A. Annas, of Sawmills. She was the wife of the late Jeremiah Annas who died about ten years ago.

Mrs. Annas was the mother of eleven children, ten of whom survive, as follows: George Annas, Theodore Annas, J. R. J. Annas, G. J. Annas, W. A. Annas, A. P. Annas, L. M. Annas, Mrs. Mary R. Miller, Mrs. Elizabeth Harris, Mrs. Sarah Pope..

She was 82 years and nine months old. In 1868 she joined the Sardis Baptist church and for 44 years lived a consistent Christian life. She was a kind and loving Christian mother.
